Jaynic, the developer of the 114-acre Suffolk Park at Bury St Edmunds continues its investment in the park by letting a second significant infrastructure contract to Ipswich-based contractor Jackson Civil Engineering.
The contract is to build a new spur road and carry out remedial works to Lady Miriam Way/Kempson Way adjoining the park that will open-up more land within the Suffolk Park Enterprise Zone.
The works also incorporates the ‘reinforcement of the Anglian water mains to the park and the expansion of the fibre network providing the park with super-fast broadband.
Both roads will be covered by a section 38 agreement with Suffolk County Council which will lead to them being adopted. The work will take 18 weeks.
Jason Newman, construction director at Jaynic, said: “The new road will give small and growing companies access to the enterprise zone and forms the next phase of the park’s development.”
