Jaynic has completed the development of its 76,000 sq ft warehouse unit at Suffolk Park, Bury St Edmunds, for Evri – formerly named Hermes Parcelnet Ltd – which it pre-let to the parcel carrier in 2021 and subsequently forward funded with CBRE Global Investors.
Ben Oughton, development director of Jaynic, says: “With Evri shortly to move into SP76 and the other 160,000 sq ft unit in the same phase about to go under offer to a major occupier, there is only one phase left to develop. In this phase we are seeking planning consent for two buildings, one of 77,000 sq ft and the other 128,000 sq ft,” adds Oughton.
The main contractor was Parkway Construction MK Ltd. Occupiers taking space at Suffolk Park to date include Weerts Group, Skechers, MH Star UK Ltd, Unipart Logistics, Treatt, Sealey and The East of England Ambulance Trust.
Suffolk Park is located within one hour of the Port of Felixstowe to the east, the UK’s largest container port and gateway to the region, and within 30 minutes of Cambridge to the west. It offers a prime and core location on the important A14 strategic corridor. Access to the Midlands, London and the South East are all convenient from Suffolk Park.
Major residential development is underway in the town with over 5,000 new homes allocated and construction commenced, to help the town’s continued economic growth and to accommodate an expanding workforce.
Letting agents for Suffolk Park are Hazells, Savills and Bidwells.
